Editor to set up which platform we want.

(white platform = neutral state = static platform)

When the player uses the red effect on a neutral platform, it will go back and forth once between to way-points determined by the level designer.

Using the blue effect can change neutral or red platforms into "nothing". The player can then go through it. If the blue effect is used on an already ghost blue platform, it will turn back into a physical platform.

Yellow mushrooms launch the player toward an invisible point in space. The player has no control of their character until they reach that point or collide with a platform.

Reflection

  • All the team participated in the concept and we were organized early on. We were able to cut features fast and move towards a project with our team's vision.

  • Being all together in one room helped with quick communication, and being around other groups kept us creatively stimulatedIt was really fun going from one group to another, discussing quickly some design or technical issues, and coming back to ours full of new ideas or solutions.

 â€‹

  • Overall I am happy to have been able to create challenging gameplay and a unique underground world like the one present in Coloris. It is one of the projects that I want to develop into something deeper one day.
